Use this link to Educational Origami’s wiki page on Digital Citizenship. Read through the 6 tenets of digital citizenship on how to respect/protect yourself, others, and intellectual property. Your task is to compile the info and present your learning in a Comic Life document. Be sure to follow the attached criteria:
**Don’t forget to keep a record of all the images you use in your project and their source – a table in Word works well- you can paste a thumbnail copy of your image and then paste the source beside it!**
The Outsiders – Book vs Movie
We just watched Francis Ford Coppola’s 1983 version of The Outsiders. What did you think of the movie? How does it compare to the book? Which do you prefer? Why? We had some good discussion in class, but I’m curious to see what everyone’s opinions are. You might want to write about who you would cast in your movie version if it were made in 2009 (this could get interesting!!).
You need to include links in your post to the movie and any other links you think might add to your post. I’ve included links to a couple of reviews, one from the New York Times and another from Rolling Stone Magazine.

Try to find an image (or draw one yourself!) of an important person or god in Sumer or in one of the later groups who settled in the area. Use the internet or your textbook to find out why that person/god is famous.
Create a one page Comic Life document/poster that contains the image and the reasons why they were important to Mesopotamians. Post the poster on your blog. (“I am famous because…”)

Holidays 2009 (in Ten Words!)
Happy New Year everyone!!
We’re back into the swing of things after our 2 week break. It was great spending time with family and friends and enjoying time participating in our favorite winter outdoor activities!
We did a little spin on a traditional journal activity upon our return to school. Firstly, everyone brainstormed 10 words that they would use to describe a highlight of their holiday. Once that was complete, they went back and added some descriptive details and turned their word into a phrase or couple of sentences.
